Lan FTP Server Pro does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data. No
advertising networks are integrated, and no ad-related data is collected. All data remains on your
device and local network.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect (Both Editions)
Regardless of which edition you use, the core FTP server functionality does NOT:
- Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, contacts)
- Track your precise location
- Store your files on external servers
- Monitor your FTP server activity or file transfers
- Use analytics tools for app behavior tracking
- Require account creation or login credentials

3. Data That Stays on Your Device
Both editions store the following information locally on your device only:
- Server Configuration: Port number, username, password, and FTPS settings
- Folder Permissions: References (URIs) to folders you choose to share
- SSL Certificates: Self-generated certificates for FTPS encryption (stored in app's
private storage)

anywhere)
This data is stored using Android's DataStore API and remains private to the App.
It is deleted when you uninstall the App.
4. Permissions Required and Why
Both editions require the following Android permissions to function:
4.1 Storage Access (Required)
- Purpose: To read and share files/folders you explicitly select through Android's
Storage Access Framework (SAF)
- Usage: Only folders you manually grant access to are accessible by the FTP server
- Control: You can revoke access at any time through the App's folder management
screen
4.2 Internet/Network Access (Required)
- Purpose: To create a local FTP server accessible on your Wi-Fi network

- Free Edition: Also used to download and display advertisements from Google AdMob
- Pro Edition: No internet communication occurs; all transfers stay within your local
network
4.3 Network State Access (Required)
- Purpose: To detect your local IP address and display it in the App
- Usage: Used to help you connect FTP clients to your server
- Free Edition: Also used by AdMob to determine ad eligibility
4.4 Foreground Service (Required)
- Purpose: To keep the FTP server running reliably while the App is in the background
- Usage: Shows a persistent notification when the server is active
4.5 Post Notifications (Android 13+)

- Usage: Allows access to your device's Advertising ID for personalized ads
- Control: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your
device settings (Settings → Google → Ads)
- Pro Edition: This permission is NOT used or requested
